The intent of the Operating System Administration Knowledge Unit is to provide students with skill to perform basic operations involved in system administration of operating systems.


After completing the KU, students will be able to:

  1. Set up user accounts and configure appropriate authentication policies.
  2. Configure audit capabilities.
  3. Perform back-ups and restore the system from a backup.
  4. Install patches and updates.
  5. Review security logs.
